Masterman, Emmanuel (1832-1916)

Emmanuel was President of the Australian Conference in 1891.

Family

Emmanuel was born in 1832 at Stickland Dorset, to parents Uriah, who worked the land, and Priscilla. He was baptised on 16 December 1832 at Winterborne-Stickland, Dorset.

Before entering the ministry, Emmanuel worked as a shepherd (1851).

He married Rhoda Laurie Elford (1834-1874) in the spring of 1863 in the Bethnal Green Registration District, London. Birth records identify seven children.

Emmanuel died on 21 June 1916 at Epping, New South Wales, Australia.
