Morris, Edward (1860-1915)

Transcription of obituary published in the Primitive Methodist Magazine

The death of Edward Morris, of the Ifton Heath Society, Rhosymedre Circuit, has caused a breach in our village church that will not be easily filled. From his early days his heart was possessed with a great. love for the Saviour, which found its expression in service for Him. As local preacher, class leader, Sunday school teacher, he was instant in season and out of season. God was greatly and graciously real to him, and consequently he found much spiritual delight in communion with his Lord. Our brother could pray with power.

He suffered greatly, but his faith in God faltered not. At the funeral service sympathetic words were spoken by Rev. J. Dudley.
