Family

Maurice was born in 1856 at Sheffield, Yorkshire, to parents Mark, a rolling mill manager (1871), and Mary Ann.

• 1901 clergyman (Church of England)
• 1911 clerk in Holy Orders

He married Laura Annie Hammond (1868-1937) on 7 July 1896 at Rotherham Minster, Yorkshire. Census returns identify three of four children.

• Reginald Pym Lempriere (1900-1974) – a clergyman
• Margery Freda (1902-1979)  – head mistress junior mixed school (1939)    
• Mary Selby (1908-2000) – married Rowland Hope Cobbold, a chartered electrician (1939), in 1929           

Maurice died on 7 February 1912 at St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex
