Research Notes
The 1841 census return records a Joseph Peart, age 45, living with wife Ann, age 45, and daughters Phoebe Ann, born 24 December 1831 at Leicester, and Margaret, born abt1834. Joseph is described as a minister living at Walton on the Hill, West Derby, Lancashire.
The baptism record for Phobe, on 5 February 1832 at George Street PM Chapel, Leicester, names her mother as Ann Proud
Joseph married Ann Proud on 1 December 1821 at Alston, Cumberland.
I have not found the family in UK online records after the 1841 census return.
A Joseph Peart born abt1800, a congregational minister, married to Julia Phoebe, is found in the 1860 USA Census return living at Putnam, Livingstone, Michigan. Also a Joseph Peart born abt1795, a congregational minister, is identified living at Rock Creek, Nemaha, Kansas in 1865. Did the family emigrate to the USA?
The Joseph Peart in Kansas died on 11 July 1868.
