Family
George was born on 13 January 1834 at Ambleside, Westmorland, to parents Isaac, a cordwainer, and Ann.
George also worked as a cordwainer before entering the ministry (1851). The 1861 census return records George as a divinity student in Glasgow.
He married Mary Dun Elliot (b abt1842)
George died on 1 May 1897 at Stewarton, Ayrshire.
