Cass, Thomas Pearce (1823-1866)

Family

Thomas was baptised on 6 November 1823 at St Mary, Beverley, Yorkshire. His parents were Robert, a hatter, and Mary.

In 1841 Thomas is recorded as an apprentice wheelwright. At the time of the 1861 census Thomas and Isabella were in London. I have not been able to decipher his occupation on the census return.

He married Sarah Marsland (d1854) in the spring of 1853 at Bradford, Yorkshire.

He married Isabella Kain (1823-1881) on 21 April 1857 in the British Embassy, Paris. Records identify two children.

  • Foster Alcorn (1858-1949)
  • Mary A (b1860) – married Joseph B Whelpley in Canada

Thomas died in 1866 at Taymouth, York County, New Brunswick, Canada.
