Chiveral, Ann (1755-1838)

Died at Hindon, Wilts, in the Motcombe circuit, August 3, 1838, in her eighty-third year, Ann Chiveral.  In her early days she was fond of the customs, maxims, and pleasures of this world.  In 1836, the P. Methodists missioning Hindon, she became a hearer, manifested a concern for her soul, joined the society, obtained the blessing of salvation, and was made happy in the Saviour’s love.  As a member she was steady and diligent; and her seat was not empty unless sickness prevented her attendance; and she grew in grace and ripened fast for the garner of the Lord.  In visiting her, I found her sun going down in meridian splendour; and Aug. 3, she breathed her last, and is now with her Lord.  Now to him that hath given her the victory, be everlasting praise.
