He married Priscilla Salt (1816-1877) on 10 August 1851 at St Bartholomew, Norton le Moors.

He married Sarah Ann Shufflebottam (abt1821-1899) on 15 October 1878 at St John, Burslem, 

David died in the spring of 1901 at Norton le Moors, Staffordshire.Staffordshire.
