Ray and Marie Ella have identified that an autobiography of Samuel exists in the Norfolk Record office – see comment attached to Halesworth PM Chapel.
Samuel was born abt1804 at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
Census returns identify the following occupations for Samuel.
- 1841 shoemaker
- 1851 town missionary
- 1861 town missionary
- 1871 town missionary
He married Sarah Thompson (abt1807-1888) at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk in late September 1831. The record of the banns for this marriage record Samuel as being resident in London in 1831 which matches the stations listed below.
Samuel died in August 1874 at Great Yarmouth. He was buried on 24 August 1874.
