Humphris, Wallace Percy Alexander (1881-1964)

Family

Wallace was born on 26 September 1881 at Stroud, Gloucestershire, to parents Thomas Humphris, a PM minister, and Sarah Ann Williams Penhorwood.

He emigrated to USA in 1909 arriving in New York on 24 September. Although starting in the United States as a methodist Minister, by 1930 he had become a Congregational pastor.

He married Jennie Penhorwood Shutt (1876-1957). They had two daughters.

• Anita Florence (1915-1999) – married Lynn I Solomon
• Vera Gwendoline (1916-2003) – married Clifford Kenneth Keller

Wallace died in 1964 at Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, USA
