Slyfield, Frederick Albert (1853-1914)

Family

Frederick was born in late 1853 at Binfield, Berkshire, to parents John Slyfield, a farmer of 33 acres emptying 3 men & a bear retailer (1861), and Sarah Emma Griffiths.

The 1871 census return records Frederick as a grocer’s assistant.

The family emigrated to USA in 1892 where Frederick continued as a Congregational clergyman.

He married Julia Chapman Jory (1856-1888) in the summer of 1883 in the West Ashford Registration District, Kent. Census returns identify two children.

  • John Samuel (1884-1955)  – a travelling salesman (1920)  
  • Frederick Albert (1885-1962) – a physician (1920)       

He married Elise E Beucler (1862-1961) in 1898. Census returns identify three children.

  • Margaret C (1899-1964)
  • George Beucler (1900-1994) – a farm labourer (1918)
  • Aline C (1906-2004) – married Loris Brinkman in 1938

Frederick died in 1914 at Cornelia, Grant County, Wisconsin, USA
