Family

Michael was born abt1848 at Turlow, Cavan County, Ireland, to parents John, a labourer, and Mary.

Census returns identify the following occupations for Michael.

• 1861 cotton weaver
• 1871 cotton spinner
• 1881 PM minister
• 1891 clerk in holy orders in York
• 1901 clergyman of the Church of England

He married Maria Moon (abt1850-1922) in the summer of 1875 at Malton, Yorkshire. Census returns identify three children.

• Mary Evelyn (1876-1949)      
• Arnold Moon (1878-1943) – an Anglican clergyman 
• Joseph Hubert B (1890-1932)   

Michael died in late 1930 in the  Scarborough Registration District, Yorkshire.
