Stephenson, William (1832-1889)

Family

William was born abt1832 at Hessle by Hull, Yorkshire, to parents William, who worked the land, and Ann. He was baptised in 26 August 1832 at Hessle by Hull. His older brother, John Robert, was also a PM minister.

William transferred to the Wesleyan ministry whilst in Canada. He later emigrated to USA.

He married Anne Rainbow (1832-1888) on 21 August 1854 at Toronto, Ontario. Census returns identify three children.

• Marion Elizabeth (b abt1857)
• Annie Louisa (b abt1859)
• William James Fletcher (1862-1938) – a farmer

William died on 17 October 1889 at Flushing, New York, USA.
