Watkins, Nathaniel

Ministry

Transcriptions of extracts of letters from Nathaniel in Canada dated 27 October 1830 and 4 April 1831, published in the Primitive Methodist Magazine are attached.

Family

I have not been able to unambiguously  identify Nathaniel in online records. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

His sister, Ruth, was also a PM travelling preacher and missionary to America.

The 1851 Canada census return identifies a Nathaniel Watkins, born abt1804, and wife Anna. This Nathaniel is described as a church of England clergyman. Family trees on ancestry.com give this Nathaniel’s birth as January 1806 in Monmouthshire  and his death as 24 March 1857 at Kingston, Frontenac, Canada. Did Nathaniel switch to the episcopal church?
