Weatherill, Thomas (1848-1929)

Family

Thomas was born in the spring of 1848 at Whitby, Yorkshire, to parents Thomas Weatherill, a cow-keeper (1861), and Sarah Cook. His brother, William, was also a PM minister, who moved to Canada.

He married Frances Howgate (abt1854-1926) in the summer of 1878 at Whitby, Yorkshire. Records identify ten children.

  • Edna Greta (1887-1888)
  • Ewart Maurice (1889-1953) – a schoolmaster (1930)
  • Joseph Cook (1889-1973)
  • Ivy Whitby Cecelia Pretoria (b1900) – died between 1926 and 1930
  • Thomas died on 26 October 1929 at Paynham, South Australia.
