Family
Thomas was born in the spring of 1848 at Whitby, Yorkshire, to parents Thomas Weatherill, a cow-keeper (1861), and Sarah Cook. His brother, William, was also a PM minister, who moved to Canada.
He married Frances Howgate (abt1854-1926) in the summer of 1878 at Whitby, Yorkshire. Records identify ten children.

- Thomas died on 26 October 1929 at Paynham, South Australia.
