Wilson, Jesse (1858-1945)

Family

Jesse was born on 9 September 1858 at Leeds, Yorkshire, to parents Jabez Wilson, a coal miner (1861), and Mary Musgrave. He was baptised on 22 December 1861 at St Peter, Leeds.

The 1939 Register describes Jesse as a retired minister.

He married Mary Elizabeth Barber (1856-1922) in the summer of 1884 at Leeds, Yorkshire Census returns identify five children.

• Evelyn Mabel (1889-1892)
• Horace Victor (1891-1892)
• Gwendoline Olive (1893-1942) – married John Watts, a general labourer (1939), in 1924

Jesse died in early 1945 at Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
