I am at present researching this chap for a Wesleyan Methodist database. He appears to change religions fairly frequently – this is the WM list for 1881:
1877 Brigg
1878 Institution
1880 Institution (1)
1881 Supply
He appears to have then, at some point, gone to Australia where he seems to be appearing in the Congregational, the Baptist and finally back in the Methodist church!!
