Blackwell, George (1821-1897)

Family

George was baptised on 23 December 1821 at Harbury, Warwickshire. His parents were James, a labourer, and Mary. His younger brother, Frederick, was also a PM minister.

He married Harriet Sarah Harwood (1832-1918) in late 1859 at Witney, Oxfordshire. Census returns identify eight children.

The family emigrated to Canada circa1875 where George became a farmer (1891).

George died in February 1897 at Lambton County, Ontario, Canada.
